About KinDock

What is KinDock?

KinDock is a secure, family-centred communication platform for supported living. It keeps home-wide news separate from each person's private updates, so families, support teams, and organizations share the right things with the right people.

How is it different from a group chat or social media?

A group chat mixes everyone together. KinDock shows exactly who can see each update before it's shared, keeps each person's private space to their own circle, and gives organizations permissions, consent controls, and audit history.

Does KinDock replace our care records or case-management system?

No. KinDock is a communication and family-connection platform — not an electronic health record, case-management system, medication platform, or incident-reporting system. It's designed for connection, not documentation.

Privacy & audiences

Can a family connection see other people in the home?

No. Living in the same home does not mean sharing one audience. A family connection sees only the person they're approved for and the home-wide news — never another person's private updates, and never the home's full list of people supported.

How does access work for staff?

Support-team access is based on explicit assignments. A staff member sees a person's private space only when they're actively assigned to that person, and relief or temporary cover can be given an automatic end date.

Is our data kept in Canada?

Yes. KinDock's database, authentication, and file storage run in Canada (Central Canada region). Our Security & Privacy page lists our subprocessors and where each part of the service runs.

What happens when consent is withdrawn?

Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately: future access stops, and content that a scope no longer permits is hidden from that connection, while the audit record of what happened is preserved.

Families & people supported

Does every person supported need their own sign-in?

No. A sign-in is optional and configurable per person — independent, supported, shared-device, or none at all. Not having a login never reduces a person's say in what's shared about them.

Can families respond to updates?

Yes, where a home enables it. A family connection can reply to an update they can see, and their response stays inside that update's audience. Direct messaging is planned as an early follow-up.

What is the Home Digest?

A calm weekly email: home news for everyone connected to the home, plus an “Updates for…” section for each recipient's own people. You choose what KinDock emails you about in your account settings.

Plans & pricing

What does KinDock cost?

KinDock Personal is $19/month or $209/year for one person and their circle. KinDock Home is $34/month or $374/year for one home. Organizations get volume pricing that lowers the per-location cost as they grow — build your plan on the Organizations page.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Personal and Home both start with a 30-day free trial, and you can cancel anytime. No setup fees.

How does pricing work for several homes?

Organization pricing is based on the number of licensed locations, with graduated volume discounts and one billing account. The effective per-location price falls as you add locations. Beyond 25 locations, get in touch for tailored terms.

Getting started & mobile

How do families join?

A home lead or organization administrator sends a secure, expiring invitation by email. The family member accepts it, sets a password, and sees the person they're connected to.

Is there a mobile app?

KinDock is a responsive, mobile-first web app that works well on phones and tablets today. Native iOS and Android apps are planned.

Give families a trusted way to stay connected.
